On August 18, 2013 at the Grand Ballroom of the Solaire Resort, actress-turned beauty queen Megan Young was concluded as the 2013 Miss World Philippines.
A beauty and brain to simply put it, the 23-year-old half Filipino and half American is certainly a force to be reckoned with in the Miss World pageant in September, which will be held in the largest archipelago in the world and a Southeast Asian nation we simply call Indonesia.
Miss Young is a talent of abs-cbn, one of the country's top channels. She starred in couple of shows including "Precious Hearts Romances and Betty La Fea.
She said that joining the pageant is what she wants earlier in her life. She's aware of the risks and she knows there's a lot of them there. But it's a chance of a lifetime.
"It's now or never", she added.
